Shared Hosting nameservers

Shared Hosting · Point your domain at Mynymbox shared hosting so the website and email resolve to your DirectAdmin account.

Use these nameservers for domains hosted on our shared hosting (DirectAdmin):

  • dns1.mynymhosting.net
  • dns2.mynymhosting.net

DirectAdmin then serves the DNS zone for that domain (A, AAAA, MX, and the usual hosting records).

Domain registered with Mynymbox

If you ordered the domain together with the hosting account, these nameservers are usually set for you. You can confirm them in the client portal under the domain.

Domain registered elsewhere

  1. Add the domain in DirectAdmin if it is not already the main domain on the account.
  2. At your current registrar, replace the existing nameservers with dns1.mynymhosting.net and dns2.mynymhosting.net.
  3. Wait for DNS to propagate. This is often a few hours and can take up to 24–48 hours.

Using our DNS Management Tool instead

You can also use the PowerDNS nameservers (dns.mynymdns.me and dns.mynymdns.st) and create the records yourself. In that case you must add an A record (and AAAA if you use IPv6) pointing to the shared hosting server, plus MX if you use our email. For most shared hosting accounts, the two mynymhosting.net nameservers above are the simpler option.
