Private Email Hosting

Privacy-First Email with Mailcow

Run your own modern email platform without giving your inbox to a data-hungry big tech provider. Our email hosting is powered by Mailcow, combining Postfix, Dovecot and powerful spam filtering with an easy web interface. You keep control over your domains, mailboxes, calendars and contacts — we provide the hardened infrastructure underneath.

Roundcube webmail and the Mailcow admin panel are reachable over Tor, giving you a way to manage and access your email even when you don’t want to touch the clearnet.

Mailcow Features You Get

We deploy Mailcow for you, so you don’t have to worry about assembling and maintaining a full mail stack yourself. You get the rich feature set of Mailcow with the privacy benefits of hosting it at Mynymbox.

Modern mail stack

Postfix and Dovecot with TLS everywhere, virtual domains and mailboxes, aliases and catch-all addresses, plus quota management and per-domain settings via Mailcow’s web UI.

Webmail & Tor access

Roundcube webmail with a clean interface, folder management, search, filters and identities — reachable via clearnet and via Tor. The Mailcow admin panel is also accessible via Tor so you can manage your mail even from high-risk environments.

Antispam & antivirus

Integrated spam and virus protection using modern filtering, RBLs and scoring, plus quarantine and per-user spam settings to protect your inbox without losing important mail.

Authentication & security

Support for SPF, DKIM and DMARC, SMTP submission with STARTTLS, strong ciphers, brute-force protection, and optional 2FA for the Mailcow UI to keep your accounts and domains trusted and secure.

Groupware & sync

CalDAV and CardDAV for calendars and contacts, plus IMAP/POP3 and SMTP for desktop and mobile clients. Use your preferred mail apps while Mailcow keeps everything in sync.

Powerful admin interface

Mailcow’s web-based admin panel lets you manage domains, mailboxes, aliases, spam rules, TLS, blacklists/whitelists and more without needing to SSH into the system for routine tasks.

Privacy & threat model

Email is not end-to-end encrypted by default, but running Mailcow on privacy-focused infrastructure gives you strong control over where your data lives, how it is accessed, and which logs are kept. Combine this with end-to-end tools like PGP for sensitive content, and Tor access for webmail and the admin panel, to significantly improve your email privacy posture compared to mass providers.

Email Hosting FAQ

No. We do not inspect your mailbox contents. We keep only the minimal technical logs required to operate the service safely (for example for spam/abuse handling and performance monitoring), and we do not monetize or profile your email data.

We provide onion URLs for both Roundcube webmail and the Mailcow admin interface. Once your account is set up, you’ll receive the .onion addresses and TLS certificate details in your welcome email, so you can connect via Tor Browser without touching the clearnet. Clearnet access is also available if you prefer.

Yes. You can point your own domain’s MX and related DNS records to our Mailcow setup. We’ll provide the exact DNS values for SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your email is delivered reliably and with a good reputation.

As with our other services, we only require a working email address for notifications and billing. We do not ask for invasive KYC data for our email hosting plans.

We run server-side backups of the Mailcow data to protect against hardware failure. For maximum safety, we strongly recommend that you also take regular client-side backups (for example via IMAP or export from your mail client) if your mailbox contains critical data.
